Drama Group
dDeaflinks are proud to announce that a star of Waterloo Road and Holby City, two of the most popular dramas on television has started ‘The Drama Group,’ for young people at the Ellis Centre.
A full time actress Rachel Shenton has set time aside from her busy schedules to start up this group to teach young people the basic skills of the arts. Rachel said it is important for youngsters to start early in their pursuit of their dreams to stardom however learning the skills both social and technical will help the children develop in other areas as well.
The club is open to all children; there are no age restrictions at this time however children will need to be old enough to be able to fully participate in all the activities.
The Group meets every Tuesday from 6.30 to 7.30 pm and the cost is £4 per week.
Rachel is also highly qualified in B.S.L having obtained a level three certificate. This gives equal opportunities for children who are Deaf to join the club.
Anna, a young member of the Drama Club, says ‘its great fun and I thoroughly enjoy it’.
